Joe Hardy, a doctor, made sure that SB 336 never made it out of committee. However, the sponsors of the so-called “death with dignity” bill have promised to bring it up again at the next session. We can’t … [Read more...] about Killing is Not “Death with Dignity” – Beware the Slippery Slope
Where’s Our Backbone? Speak Up Nevada!
No one seems to take a stand on political and social issues anymore. They don’t want to make waves or offend anybody. Maybe they’re afraid of being bullied, or in the case of politicians, they’re afraid that speaking out on an issue may alienate some voters. If they do take a stand, as soon as they get any negative feedback, they’re quick to reverse themselves or try to explain … [Read more...] about Where’s Our Backbone? Speak Up Nevada!

The Emperor Has No Clothes: Businesses Must Speak Out on Governor’s Tax Plan!
Most of you remember the fable that tells of a leader who showed up naked, yet was so powerful that no one said a word. Watch Your Country Die or… Know Your Enemy!
Americans didn't pay much attention to the rising power of radical Islam until the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks inside our borders, so it may seem like a relatively new phenomenon. But Muslim terrorists have actually been killing Christians, Jews and other non-Muslims since before the U.S. was founded, and we fought two wars against them in the earliest days of the republic. Muslim … [Read more...] about Watch Your Country Die or… Know Your Enemy!

Alternative Energy Projects: Who Pays for These Boondoggles?
Work is almost completed on the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project, located near Tonopah. The developers had received a $737 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy, so if the project fails like Solyndra did, taxpayers will be on the hook for all that money. Even if we don’t have to ultimately make good on the loan, we’ll still be paying for it in lots of … [Read more...] about Alternative Energy Projects: Who Pays for These Boondoggles?
Fed Up: Who Works for Who?
There are so many things wrong with last month’s BLM “roundup” it’s difficult to even know where to start. As anyone in businesses will tell you, to effectively negotiate a deal, both parties must begin with the same premise. Clive Bundy was operating under the premise that the government works for him. The government, however, was working under the assumption that Clive, … [Read more...] about Fed Up: Who Works for Who?
