(January 16, 2025, 2024 – RENO, Nev.) — Chuck Alvey, Vistage Chair and founder of The Alvey Company, LLC, has joined forces with University of Nevada, Reno basketball standout Nick Davidson through a groundbreaking Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreement. The partnership seeks to highlight the value of Vistage in Northern Nevada while showcasing Nick Davidson’s impact on the Wolf Pack basketball program. At its core, the collaboration stands out through a unique cross-mentoring initiative, redefining the traditional approach to NIL agreements.
Davidson, who recently completed an undergraduate degree in International Business and is currently pursuing a master’s in business Statistics and Analytics, aspires to play professional basketball and later attend law school. Through this partnership, he will benefit from the extensive professional experience and mentorship provided by Alvey and his Vistage members. At the same time, Davidson brings a fresh perspective, offering valuable lessons drawn from his achievements as a student-athlete to seasoned business leaders.
“As a Wolf Pack basketball fan for nearly 35 years, Nick Davidson impresses me not only with his athleticism and basketball talent but also with his thoughtfulness, intelligence, and curiosity,” said Chuck Alvey, Vistage Chair. “These qualities make him an ideal fit for mentorship from me and my Vistage members. This partnership also provides a unique opportunity to reinforce key business principles such as discipline, preparation, and resilience.”
With nearly 50 years of business experience, Chuck Alvey has held president and CEO roles in economic development, television, and community organizations. As a seasoned Vistage Chair, Alvey facilitates, mentors, and leads peer advisory groups, inspiring members through shared insights, challenges, and fostering critical thinking to help leaders make better decisions. These Vistage peer advisory groups consist of 12-16 local CEOs or business owners from non-competing industries, functioning as a confidential, private advisory board to troubleshoot challenges, evaluate ideas, and uncover blind spots.
“I’m excited to announce my partnership with Vistage as it marks an exciting new chapter, and I’m eager to collaborate with Chuck Alvey and his outstanding team,” said University of Nevada, Reno Wolf Pack basketball player Nick Davidson. “I’ve always believed in the power of collaboration, and I’m confident this partnership will be a valuable opportunity for us to learn and grow together.”
