StartUpNV, a nonprofit incubator and accelerator for Nevada-based startup companies, will hold its next free Speed Mentoring event in Reno on Thursday, June 4, at the Innevation Center, 450 Sinclair St., Reno, Nev., 89501.
“Think of it like speed dating—but for startups,” said Jeff Saling, executive director of StartUpNV. “It’s fast-paced and intentional. It enables founders to make real business relationships. They can learn more in one evening than possible through random one-off introductions over many months.”
Speed Mentoring events are held throughout the year by StartUpNV in Reno and Las Vegas to connect Nevada entrepreneurs with experienced mentors across various areas important to starting a company, such as operations, finance, fundraising, sales, marketing, legal, and product development.
The event format puts entrepreneurs directly in front of subject-matter business experts who have worked on or built and scaled companies. Entrepreneurs rotate through a series of short, focused conversations with the mentors designed to identify a specific obstacle and walk away with practical guidance.
Light refreshments are provided. Founders should come with one or two specific questions to ask.
