Businesses Grow in Southern Nevada
Several new companies have opened and expanded in southern Nevada. Included in those is Farmtable Kitchen + Spirits in Town Square Las Vegas, a family-owned southern cuisine scratch kitchen restaurant concept. In addition, Smithfield Foods has added 61 jobs, Xtreme Manufacturing has added 60 jobs, Premier Display & Exhibits has added 51 jobs, Hard Eight Nutrition added 37 jobs and Visual Impact PrePrint Vegas added 30 jobs to the area.
Greater Nevada Credit Union Launches New Services
Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU), a credit union headquartered in Carson City, has launched the “I Can Save” savings account to help members establish consistent saving habits. In addition, a wholly owned subsidiary of GNCU, Greater Commercial Lending has launched Greater Lending XChange, an online portal that enables investors to gain secure access to review participation loan opportunities.
Fremont Street Experience Refurbished
The Fremont Street Experience has undergone a refurbish for the new decade. The light canopy received a $32 million upgrade that includes 3D graphics on a Viva Vision Canopy. In addition, Terra Contracting restored the Fremont Street Experience’s concrete surfaces using an innovative process that minimizes disruption to the attraction. The process included multiple specialty products, including a polymer-based foundation, that is designed to stand up to the foot traffic and UV damage while increasing surface friction on Fremont Street.
