SendCutSend Receives $110M investment
Northern Nevada-based manufacturing company, SendCutSend has announced a $110 million investment, bringing the company valuation to over $1 billion. A Nevada startup, SendCutSend has a tech-driven production model making custom manufacturing faster and more accessible for businesses. The company plans to invest over $1.25 billion into manufacturing growth over the next five years – $1 billion toward domestic jobs and materials and $250 million toward expanded facilities and manufacturing hubs.
NV Energy Files IRP with PUCN
NV Energy has filed its 2026 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN). Mandated to be filed every three years, the IRP is the central planning document used by the PUCN to evaluate how NV Energy will meet customer demand for the next 20 years. NV Energy has filed the IRP a year sooner than expected because of an increase in projected demand driven by large-scale customers, such as data centers. The utility expects to need 47 percent more energy than was forecast two years ago.
CCSD Launches five-year strategic plan
At a recent Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of Trustees meeting, the board approved the district’s five-year strategic plan for the area’s schools. Entitled “The Destination District”, the plan focuses on three priorities for the district: academic excellence, career-connected learning and durable skills, and safe and supportive schools. “This plan is CCSD’s five-year commitment to transforming our schools into supportive, safe places where learning sparks joy and students are prepared to build a home, a life, and a future,” said Superintendent Jhone Ebert.
