Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), a full-service environmental, water resource, and civil engineering firm, is pleased to welcome Erielle Cushing as a senior staff engineer. Cushing joins Broadbent from the Washoe County School District (WCSD) where she worked as a high school chemistry teacher. As a senior staff engineer with Broadbent, Cushing will work closely with project managers at several of the firm’s environmental and mine sites and will provide support for collection of surface and groundwater samples, remediation system operation and maintenance, water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring, and water resources activities.
“We are thrilled to announce the recent hire of Erielle Cushing at our Reno office,” said Randy Miller, president of Broadbent. “She not only has experience teaching, but previously worked in the Division of Water Resources with the State of Nevada. We believe her skills and knowledge will be an asset to our clients and look forward to her success within the company.”
Cushing has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in geological engineering. Born and raised in Reno, Cushing is actively involved in the Truckee Meadows Community College Concert Band and Boy Scouts of America. When Cushing is not working, she can usually be found enjoying the great outdoors or studying for her hot air balloons pilot license.
