The Ability Center received a $5,000 Cox Charities grant in 2024, which was accepted by the nonprofit’s founder Chris Salas. The Ability Center strives to ensure equal opportunities are offered to those with special needs, utilizing the Cox Charities grant to support inclusive sports tailgates and Cox Sports Field Days.

Cox Charities, the philanthropic arm of Cox Las Vegas, invites Southern Nevada-based nonprofit organizations to apply for a $10,000 Cox Charities Grant.

Applicants should consider programs that support one of Cox Charities’ philanthropic focus areas for Southern Nevada including the environment/sustainability; K-12 education/STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and homelessness/housing insecurity.

Grants are funded by employee contributions and proceeds from an annual golf tournament. Cox Charities’ fiscal partner is the Nevada Community Foundation.
