LAS VEGAS—The Foundation Assisting Seniors (FAS) is proud to announce the Celebrate a SeniorTM program, a nationwide fundraising program to show appreciation and honor seniors across the country. The Celebrate a Senior program is the latest addition to the Senior Appreciation Program that encompasses Nevada Senior Citizen of the Year and Volunteer Appreciation.
Seniors are an important part of our lives as they are our volunteers, greeters and neighbors. The Celebrate a Senior program makes it easy to show your appreciation to the seniors in your life, whether they are nearby or across the county. Participating is as simple as making a donation to FAS in honor of a cherished senior and FAS will take care of the rest.
“We are thrilled to share this program,” said Carol Chapman, president of FAS. “Now more than ever, we need to cherish our seniors. The Celebrate a SeniorTM program provides an opportunity for us to make the seniors in our life feel special, loved and most importantly appreciated no matter where they live.”
The Celebrate a Senior program has two donation tiers. The first tier is between $25 and $99. For this tier, FAS will send the honoree a certificate signed by chair and president of FAS, includes donor and recipient names and honoree will be listed on the FAS website. The second-tier donation is any donation over $100. The honoree will receive a hand painted six-inch title with the honoree’s name and will be mounted on the Celebrate a SeniorTM wall at FAS headquarters and honoree will be listed on the FAS website. FAS will be partnering with All Fired Up! who will be hand painting the tiles for the recipients and the Celebrate Wall in FAS headquarters. All Fired Up! works closely with schools, nonprofits, groups and individuals to create beautiful custom ceramics.
