How did you get into your profession?

My grandparents immigrated, worked hard, saved, and eventually invested in a commercial multi-family property in East Los Angeles. That story inspired me to honor their legacy by going all-in on this industry. After guidance from leaders and mentors, I started in property management, learning the business from the ground up and building real relationships with brokers and clients, which paved the way for this opportunity with the Colliers Las Vegas team.

What has been instrumental to your success?

Curiosity, listening, hard work, and humility have been instrumental to anything that can be perceived as success. A focus on character—not reputation—has led to many life-changing decisions centered on serving others and always doing the right thing. My grandparents’ journey first sparked it; reading a lot, listening and consuming information from anyone that would share it, and a heart of faith in Jesus have all played a major role.

What career advice would you give to someone who is just starting out?

Truly focus on defining “success” and defining what “enough” means personally and professionally. Accountability to oneself requires measurable goals tied to those self-defined standards. Discipline is a choice that separates victors. Focus on character—not reputation. Train daily as an athlete of the mind, serve people first, and constantly implement and refine your processes. Choosing to surround yourself with great leaders and team members will help you exceed any personal or professional goals and expectations in the service of others.

What do you hope future generations can learn from your professional journey?

I hope future generations learn that no matter how hard and dark things get, the light always shines through when you take it one step at a time with no quit and honorable motives. Professionals prioritize while amateurs multitask. Faith, fitness, stable finances, family, and fun — when properly prioritized — along with hard work, humility, a heart of love, and an insatiable desire to grow, learn, be healthy, and serve others are daily choices that lead to true peace and joy, not fleeting worldly happiness.
