Nevada Wins with Bipartisan Coalition Against Live Nation and Ticketmaster
A bipartisan coalition of attorneys general from 40 states, including Nevada, have won a lawsuit against Live Nation after a jury found that Live Nation and Ticketmaster violated federal and state antitrust laws by eliminating competition and driving up costs for fans, artists and venues. After a five-week trial, the jury found that the coalition successfully proved that Live Nation and Ticketmaster have unlawfully maintained and abused their monopoly power that prevents other ticketing services, venue owners, and concert promoters from successfully competing.
Cox Charities to Distribute $1.75 Million to Nonprofits in the West Region

Sunrise Hospital Receives Designation as Level 1 Trauma Center
Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center has been designated as a Level I Trauma Center by the State of Nevada, the highest level of trauma care available. This prestigious designation reflects Sunrise’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest level of trauma care and advancing medical excellence across Nevada. “We extend our sincere appreciation to Governor Lombardo for recognizing the need for this important designation and allowing us the ability to train and attract top-tier physicians in Nevada and engage in trauma research,” said CEO of Sunrise Hospital, Todd P. Sklamberg. “We also want to recognize our physicians, first responders, regulatory partners and the broader community for their continued support throughout this process.” Level I Trauma Centers are equipped to deliver total care for every aspect of injury — from prevention through rehabilitation — and must meet rigorous standards established by state and national accrediting bodies. The only other Level I Trauma Center in Nevada is UMC Hospital which is designated a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatrics trauma center according to the Southern Nevada Health District. Renown in Northern Nevada is a Level II trauma center.
