Crisci Builders to Build-Out Agassi Enterprises
Joseph Crisci, president of Crisci Builders, recently announced the Las Vegas-based general contractor is completing tenant improvement services for Agassi Enterprises, Inc., an enterprise which oversees Andre Agassi’s business and charitable ventures. Crescent Real Estate contracted Crisci Builders to handle the TI project for the 21,462-square-foot office in Howard Hughes Center. JMA Architecture Studios is the architect of record; Crisci Builders’ Paul Auzenne is serving as manager; and Mike Maupin is serving as superintendent. The $1.6 million commercial tenant improvement project is scheduled to be complete in September 2007.
PENTA Building Group Begins Work on Athletic Academic Center at UNR
Work recently began on the $4.6 million Marguerite Wattis Peterson Foundation Athletic Academic Center at the University of Nevada, Reno, announced Lou Primak, area manager for PENTA Building Group, the general contractor building the facility. The 8,293-square-foot, LEED-certified center was designed by architect James Mickey of The Worth Group and will feature a masonry and steel structure with a curtain wall system, an ADA ramp to Legacy Hall and connection to Nancy and Bob Cashell Football Center. PENTA crews will work to complete the project with minimal interference to Mackay Stadium and other facilities during football season and events. The project is scheduled to be completed April 2008.
Construction of Sandy Valley Senior Center Underway
JVC Architects, a Las Vegas-based community design firm, recently announced construction is underway for the Sandy Valley Senior Center. Clark County Real Properties contracted JVC Architects to draft the plans for the 3,100-square-foot center earlier this year. B&H Construction will work as the general contractor for the $1.7 million development, which will serve more than 12 percent of the 2,000-plus Sandy Valley residents who are 65 and older. The center will offer a convenient location for meetings and activities for the senior population. It is estimated that construction will be complete in March 2008.
SR Construction Breaks Ground on New Office Building
SR Construction, a design/build general contractor, recently began construction on the two-story, 21,688-square-foot First United Mortgage office building in
Southwest Las Vegas. Dekker/Perich/Sabatini served as the architect for the $3.8 million project. The tilt-up building will be amidst 400 acres of a high-density, mixed-use development with 10,000 housing units, several hundred thousand square feet of retail space and several million square feet of office space in the West Village, which is located at Sunset Road and Durango Drive just off the interstate 215. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2008.
Sullivan Square Breaks Ground
Glen, Smith & Glen Development, a Las Vegas-based commercial and residential development firm, and Harcourt Developments, an international property development, investment and management company, recently broke ground on Sullivan Square, a mixed-use community in southwest Las Vegas. Upon completion, the community will combine residential, business and retail elements, cover 16.5 acres of land and feature 1,300 residential units with six options for living. The project will also meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification standards and will save approximately 45 million gallons of water per year with an on-site treatment facility. Currently, condominiums in the first high-rise tower, Madison I, along with brownstones and live/work spaces are available for sale.
Colours, Inc. Donates Services to Canyon Ridge Christian Church
Colours, Inc., an interior design firm based in Las Vegas, recently announced it will donate its time and knowledge to the expansion of Canyon Ridge Christian Church. Colours, Inc. is involved in the master-planning aspect of the on going, 10-year project, including fundraising and design consultation. The 32-acre expansion of the church, located at Lone Mountain Road and Jones Boulevard, includes an addition to the auditorium, a high school ministry building, a traditional chapel, an outdoor baptismal, as well as interior and exterior renovation of the church itself and a new Base Camp building for the church’s younger members.
