(LAS VEGAS – February 24, 2026) – Southern Nevada’s home builders and subcontractors today announced a united, bipartisan, state and local political action committee focused on supporting candidates for office in Nevada who understand the importance of housing attainability and the role residential construction plays in meeting Nevada’s growing demand for homes. With more than $700,000 cash on hand and a goal of raising $1 million by the general election in November, the Southern Nevada Home Builders PAC (SNHB PAC) will evaluate, endorse, and support candidates who align with the mission of protecting Nevada’s residential construction industry. SNHB PAC will also be prepared to challenge candidates and policies that conflict with that mission.
“Housing attainability is one of the defining challenges facing Nevada families, and the answer starts with building more homes,” said Aaron Hirschi, president of the SNHB PAC and Regional General Manager of KB Home. “Our new PAC gives home builders – partnered with subcontractor companies for the first time – a focused, credible way to support candidates who are ready to expand supply, reduce barriers to responsible development, and keep the dream of homeownership within reach for working Nevadans.”
Next month, the SNHB PAC board, comprised of representatives from homebuilder companies and subcontractor companies, will begin interviewing and evaluating candidates based on their policy platforms, voting records, and alignment with priorities affecting housing in Nevada.
“We’re standing up a strong PAC that can compete early and strategically in Nevada’s political process,” said Tina Frias, CEO of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association. “We’re positioned to financially support candidates who agree with our objectives and prioritize the viability of Nevada’s residential construction industry.”
In addition to providing financial support to candidates, SNHB PAC will promote community initiatives that reinforce the contributions of the home building industry and combine the talents and resources of industry leaders to provide clear leadership addressing the challenges affecting housing in Nevada.
