HENDERSON, Nev – The Foundation Assisting Seniors (FAS) aim to improve the overall quality of life for seniors and veterans by ensuring that they remain as safe and comfortable as possible in their own home as they age. The support of individual and corporate donors helps to expand resources and help more seniors and veterans in our communities.
“It’s because of the generosity of people throughout our community that make our work possible,” says Carol Chapman, President of FAS. “On October 16, we were fortunate to host our 2nd Annual Charity Gala to help us raise money for our senior community. We were also able to address more than 35,000 requests for durable medical equipment and light home maintenance assistance from seniors and veterans in the surrounding areas in 2021 alone.”
As we approach the end of the year, every donation counts to ensure seniors across the Valley continue to receive this critical aid. There are many ways to help. You can donate online by going to the FAS website at www.foundationassistingseniors.org.
The Foundation Assisting Seniors was founded with the mission of improving the quality of life for the senior community by assisting them in times of illness, recovery, confinement at home, coping with the loss of a loved one and other senior challenges, as well as to provide assistance with everyday tasks such as household maintenance and transportation. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation has responded to more than 360,000 requests for assistance services.
