29th Annual ‘Serenades of Life – Doctors in Concert’ to Benefit Nathan Adelson Hospice FoundationThis Year’s Headliner Is Award-winning Vocal Quartet, Spectrum.

Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation will once again invite our community to celebrate the organization’s 29th Annual ‘Serenades of Life – Doctors in Concert’ on Saturday, Sept. 6 at inside Myron’s at The Smith Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m.

The evening will showcase the extraordinary musical talents of local physicians, including Linda Woodson, Brian Kung, M.D., and Alter’d Ego, featuring band members Edwin Kingsley, M.D.; David Miller, M.D.; Ken Woloson, Esq.; Phronsie Markin; Ira Spector; Mike Adler; and Brad Torchin.

“Serenades of Life – Doctors in Concert is truly a highlight for all of us as we enjoy the remarkable talents of local physicians,” said Caleen Norrod Johnson, executive director of the Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation.  “I am so  grateful to The Smith Center and our community for coming together to enjoy a night of music while supporting the vital care we provide.”

Headlining the event is Spectrum – the award-winning group, which draws upon the talent of four radiant voices and diverse personalities to form a first-class vocal quartet. Merriam-Webster defines “spectrum” as a “series of radiations arranged in regular order” or a “continuous sequence or wide range,” an appropriate description for the quartet. After spending six stellar years recreating the sound and style of the Four Tops in Las Vegas’ multimillion-dollar production shows American Superstars and Legends in Concert, the group has developed the versatility to credibly cover the music of acts ranging from the Platters to the Temptations and from Boyz II Men to Bruno Mars. This versatility has propelled them to headline their own shows, in which they perform stirring renditions of the best cover tunes.

Receiving the ‘Brad Garrett Humanitarian Award’ this year is Jeanne Jones, for her instrumental role in shaping the legacy of Nathan Adelson Hospice. Jones has been a member of the Nathan Adelson Hospice Board of Trustees for more than three decades.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit various programs and services at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
