RENO, Nev. – The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) is bringing lush jungle scenery and faraway flavors to the Biggest Little City at their premier annual fundraiser, Chemistry of the Cocktail, on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022 at 6 p.m.Explore uncharted terrain and mingle with the cast of curious creatures from the Survival of the Slowest exhibition while sampling jungle-inspired cocktails and a delicious menu crafted by the experts at Blend. Guests can also explore the science of exotic libations with hands-on mixology experiments, all while providing much-needed financial support for The Discovery.
“We’re excited to host the 10th annual Chemistry of the Cocktail,’ said Patrick Turner, Chief Advancement Officer. “Theming this year’s event in conjunction with Survival of the Slowest, our featured exhibition, will give attendees a truly exciting way to support The Discovery.”

The event also features a silent auction where guests can bid on an array of auction items, including dining, sports and travel packages. In addition to the silent auction, guests will have the opportunity to break the vault to win big. For a $50 or $100 donation, attendees can punch their choice of 100 secret compartments containing prizes like wine, gift cards for dining and travel experiences and more.
Proceeds from Chemistry of the Cocktail support The Discovery’s ongoing efforts to provide enriching educational programs and engaging hands-on exhibitions for all members of the community.
