Selected to head-up the local planning functions for the Washington D.C. based Hispanic National Bar Association’s 2016 Corporate Counsel Conference & Uvaldo Herrera Moot Court Competition, March 16-19, 2016, attorney Siria L. Gutiérrez and her teammates Veronica Arechederra Hall and Marisa Rodriguez-Shapoval have assisted in putting together a world-class conference. The theme of the conference is “Embracing Technology” with various Continuing Legal Education (CLE) panels on cutting edge topics led by experts from across the country along with a variety of workshops. Since accepting her role and responsibilities for this annual conference, and in addition to her work as an associate attorney at Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer, Garin, P.C., Siria helped select, negotiate, secure resources and facilities necessary to conduct this high-profile national event.
Hundreds of attorneys, judges, and law students from across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, including dignitaries such as the Latina and Latino Secretaries of State from California, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania will be attending the conference at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Also attending will be Corporate Counsel from some of the largest corporations in the world, such as Microsoft and Google, and representatives from numerous Fortune 500 corporations.
Once the conference starts, Siria and her team will shift gears from planning to executing. “It was a privilege to serve on this committee,” remarked Siria, “It’s the first time the HNBA has held one of its prestigious conferences in Las Vegas.
