Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), an environmental consulting firm with multidisciplinary expertise and more than 35 years of experience providing environmental, engineering, and water resource services, is proud to announce recent end-of-year contributions totaling $7,500 to nonprofit organizations serving communities across southern Nevada. While community outreach and charitable giving remain year-round priorities for Broadbent, these donations highlight the firm’s continued commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen families, improve quality of life, and address critical southern Nevada community needs.
The contributions include $2,500 to Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT), $2,500 to Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, and $2,500 to Three Square Food Bank. Together, these organizations provide essential services ranging from family respite care and childhood cancer support to food access for individuals and families experiencing hunger throughout Clark County and southern Nevada.
Broadbent’s donation to FEAT will directly support the organization’s Parents Night Out program, a respite initiative that provides a four-hour break for parents, caregivers, and guardians of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The program offers a safe, engaging environment for individuals with ASD and their siblings, featuring supervised activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, movies, and recreational programming.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada has been a vital source of support for families affected by childhood cancer since its founding in 1978. Serving approximately 400 families and more than 1,800 children each year, Candlelighters provides emotional support, quality-of-life programming, and financial assistance to families navigating a cancer diagnosis. All services are offered at no cost, with eligibility extended to any family whose child is diagnosed with cancer and treated in Nevada.
Broadbent also recently completed its donation to Three Square Food Bank during the organization’s Hunger-Free Holidays Matching Gift opportunity, when contributions were eligible for matching support by Nevada Gold Mines. Through this program, every dollar donated doubled its impact, helping provide meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity across Clark, Lincoln, Nye, and Esmeralda Counties. Three Square works in partnership with more than 150 nonprofit organizations, schools, and community groups and helped distribute more than 41 million meals in 2024 alone.
