NEVADA— Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), a full-service environmental, water resource, and civil engineering firm, is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Newcomb as their new archeologist. Newcomb is a Registered Professional Archeologist and will be working as an archeological principal investigator and cultural resource management consultant in the Denver, Colorado office.
Prior to joining Broadbent, Newcomb was a consultant at Terracon, EXP, JMT and Metcalf Archeology where she ensured her clients’ projects met the requirements of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and other environmental and cultural resources federal laws.
“We are so excited to have Elizabeth join our cultural resources team.” said Margo Memmott, Broadbent’s Cultural Resource Management Division Manager. “Elizabeth has been here for two months, and she has already proven herself to be an excellent fit for our cultural resources team in Denver. She is a knowledgeable project manager and is a pleasure to work with.”
Newcomb is a member of the Colorado Council of Professional Archeologists and is qualified to work in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. She has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s degree in anthropology and applied archeology from Northern Arizona University. In her free time, Newcomb enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her husband and son.
