Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), an environmental consulting firm with multidisciplinary expertise and over 35 years of experience providing environmental, engineering, and water resource services, has been awarded a contract by Terrible’s to support environmental compliance efforts across its network of fueling stations in the region.
Broadbent was selected for its regulatory experience, regional presence, and reputation for successful environmental management of fueling station sites throughout the Southwest. With more than 100 rapid response employees and a presence in Nevada, Arizona, and California, Broadbent is well-positioned to support Terrible’s compliance needs.
As part of this contract, Broadbent is responsible for underground storage tank regulatory compliance specific to site characterization, groundwater monitoring and sampling, remediation system operation and maintenance, quarterly reporting, corrective action, and closure strategy. Additionally, Broadbent supports operations at Terrible’s wastewater treatment plant in Jean, Nevada, providing ongoing system maintenance, water monitoring and sampling, and monthly/annual compliance reporting.
“This partnership is especially meaningful for us,” said Randy Miller, president and principal engineer at Broadbent. “Terrible’s was one of Broadbent’s earliest clients back in the late 80’s, and our renewed collaboration speaks to the strength of that original relationship. Today, we return with a larger, more experienced team, ready to support their continued environmental stewardship with the same commitment and responsiveness we’ve always maintained.”
Broadbent’s scope also includes project management across a range of locations, with focus on Terrible’s stations in Nevada, Arizona, and California. Services are delivered by a team of Certified Environmental Managers, Registered Geologists, Professional Engineers, and Certified Water/Wastewater Operators trained in regulatory compliance, system operations, and site assessment and remediation best practices.
