Volunteers from the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV) and Las Vegas REALTORS® (LVR) are leading a drive to help the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY), starting with a “Pack and Prep” event on April 25.
Along with CALV and LVR, organizations supporting this cause include the Nevada Appraisal Institute; BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association); Southern Nevada CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member); CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women); IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management); NAIOP Southern Nevada; and ULIN (Urban Land Institute Nevada).
CALV and LVR members are donating, packing, preparing and delivering items needed by young people served by NPHY. This is the latest example of CALV’s ongoing support for the local nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless youth in Southern Nevada. In past years, CALV and its partners donated thousands of dollars to NPHY, collected and delivered donations, and renovated NPHY residences and its local drop-in center.
Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., CALV-led volunteers will be packing and preparing hygiene and food kits at the NPHY drop-in center at 4981 Shirley St. in Las Vegas.
Then, on May 1, CALV-led volunteers will be working with NPHY to hand out hygiene kits and other donated items to an expected crowd of hundreds of young people facing homelessness during an NPHY event at a location to be determined.
