
LAS VEGAS – Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV) is presenting two classes in April for commercial real estate professionals seeking continuing education.
The first class is April 22 on the “World of Commercial.” It runs from 9 a.m. until noon covering the fundamentals of commercial real estate, including terminology, types of leases, techniques for evaluating properties, cap rates and more. The instructor is CALV Immediate Past President Jennifer Weinberg. The cost to attend is $30 for CALV members, or $40 for all others.
The second class will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. April 29 on “1031 Exchanges and the Nevada Real Estate agent.” Taught by instructor Kandas Myer, it will teach attendees how to master agency duties when representing clients in a 1031 exchange, including how to spot issues before they become mistakes, as well as explaining how capital gains and potential taxable events can impact such deals. The cost to attend is $20 for CALV members and affiliates, or $30 for all others.
Both classes will be held at the Las Vegas REALTORS® building at 6360 S. Rainbow Blvd. Participants can earn three general continuing education credits for completing each class. To register or get more information, visit www.CALV.org or call (702) 784-5050.
