CAMCO (Complete Association Management Company) Nevada, one of the state’s largest HOA management companies, has launched a school supply drive to support Ruben P. Diaz Elementary School, 4450 East Owens Avenue, in Las Vegas.
Donations are being accepted at the CAMCO office, 4775 West Teco Avenue, during business hours through July 31. Vendors or members of the public can drop off supplies or have them shipped to the CAMCO office through their favorite vendor (Amazon, Walmart, Target or others).
The effort was initiated by the company’s Blessings Committee.
CAMCO team members will receive incentives for donating, such as casual dress days.
Needed supplies include:
· Pens, pencils
· Dry erase markers
· Rulers, scissors
· Spiral notebooks, loose-leaf paper
· Markers, crayons, colored pencils, highlighters
· Glue or glue sticks
· Tissues/Kleenex
· Copy paper, colored paper
· Simple calculators
· Multi-purpose wipes/hand sanitizer
· Staplers, tape
· Erasers
“We are accepting all kinds of donations, pretty much anything you’d find in the classroom, whether it be for the teacher or the students,” said Lexie Wicks, a CAMCO provisional community association manager and a member of the Blessings Committee.
The school chosen serves a high number of at-risk students who may not have access to supplies that are necessary for success in school.
“We wanted to give back to a school where parents may be struggling a little bit and maybe don’t have some of these resources,” added Mary Rendina, CAMCO’s vice president of Business Development. “We wanted to make sure children have the supplies they need in order to have a successful school year.”
