Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Dragon Lights Reno are partnering to support children in need in our community. From November 18-21, visitors to the Dragon Lights Reno festival can receive a free child’s ticket (ages 3-11) with a toy donation valued at $10 to $25. This collaboration underscores the importance of helping local families and enables Catholic Charities to expand their reach, bringing support to even more families in need.
“As we become part of the communities that host our festivals, we love giving back and engaging with local traditions and culture,” said Huiyuan Liu, Event Manager of Dragon Lights Reno.
Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada barrels will be placed at the Dragon Lights festival for donation convenience. Dragon Lights is open 5 pm to 10 pm nighty through November 30.
“The partnership with the Dragon Lights festival opens up new opportunities to reach families who may not have connected with us before this holiday season,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “There’s nothing more special than seeing the excitement of children opening gifts on Christmas morning. This partnership brings a little extra magic to families who could use a helping hand.”
