CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF NORTHERN NEVADA JOINS LOTUS RADIO
FOR THE 21ST ANNUAL STUFF-A-BUS
~Winter Items Needed~
(October 24, 2022 – Reno, Nev.) – Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Lotus Radio stations are partnering up for the 21st annual Stuff-A-Bus Wednesday, November 2 through Friday, November 4 at the Atlantis Casino Resort. The partners are asking the community to donate items such as new warm clothes, food for the St. Vincent’s Food Pantry and toys for children in need.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lotus Radio stations to collect warm winter items for our underserved populations in our community as we know our neighbors will need to get them through the next few cold months,” said Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada’s CEO, Marie Baxter. “Each year we see the numbers of our families we’re serving grow and we know we can count on the generosity of our community to help them with the basic necessities providing them with the warmth of a community.”
Those wishing to donate to Stuff-A-Bus can deliver items such as new winter clothes: coats, jackets, hats, beanies, gloves and pajamas for kids in need; canned and non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent’s Food Pantry; and, new toys for Catholic Charities’ Operation Stocking Stuffer to the Atlantis Casino Resort between 6am and 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday, November 2 and 3rd and 6 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, November 4. Holiday helpers from Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Lotus Radio stations will be on hand to accept your donations and Stuff-A-Bus.
“Every year we are humbled by the support our community shows,” said Jave Patterson, Lotus Radio Operations Manager. “The pandemic set us all back a bit, but we believe that the Power of Radio and utilizing our reach across brands will activate a community ready to pay it forward and help those less fortunate in the region. We again look forward to working with the team at Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada for a successful Stuff-A-Bus!”
