CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF NORTHERN NEVADA WELCOMES LORI PATCH
(January 3, 2023 – Reno, Nev.) – Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) welcomes Lori Patch, a seasoned marketing and events professional with more than 25 years of experience, to the organization as development specialist. She will work with the development and grants team at CCNN to enhance donor relationship development and outreach, grant writing, special event coordination, and brand stewardship.
“Lori is a great addition to our development team bringing her knowledge and experience in several of our program areas which will enhance our efforts with donor relations and outreach,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “
Patch has spent the past 25 years of her career managing projects and marketing companies and products in a variety of industries, including greeting cards, software, wood products, real estate, tourism, specialty grocers and food products, glass repair equipment, and medical billing services.
Previously, Patch worked as grants project director with the Nevada Department of Agriculture in the Food and Nutrition Division managing two federally funded grants where she led and managed all grant activities, coordinated three state agencies, and reported federally to USDA. The fruits of her labor increased the number of children automatically qualifying for free and reduced lunch by 90,000 statewide. She also developed and conducted two school wellness conferences held for school nutrition professionals in southern and northern Nevada, including recruiting national level speakers to headline the events. The conferences as well as providing statewide culinary trainings helped to improve the overall efforts of serving fresh fruits and vegetables to school children in Nevada.
She has also volunteered her time on the boards of the American Lung Association of Northern Nevada, the Reno-Tahoe Chapter of the American Marketing Association, speaking and representing at various events on behalf of the American Heart Association in Reno and beyond. Most recently, she has volunteered her time reviewing grant applications and making recommendations for Patagonia’s Community Grants Program pilot program.
