In recognition of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Clark County Credit Union (CCCU) held its annual Law Enforcement Appreciation week to honor the men and women who serve and protect communities throughout Southern Nevada.
Now in its eighth year, the annual initiative reflected CCCU’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and public service, bringing together members, local partners, and residents to recognize the vital role law enforcement officers play in keeping Southern Nevada safe.
Throughout the week, CCCU awarded daily $50 Amazon gift cards and a $1,000 grand prize gift card to one randomly selected law enforcement officer. Officers were able to enter directly or by a community member as part of the recognition campaign.
CCCU also delivered cookies to law enforcement command centers across the valley. The cookies were from Frosted Bakery, a subsidiary of Lighthouse Charities, a local nonprofit organization that supports refugee families through workforce training, employment opportunities, and small business development. The partnership allowed CCCU to honor first responders while also supporting refugee-led entrepreneurship in Southern Nevada.
“Law enforcement officers are not only first responders; they are our members, neighbors, and partners in the community,” said Shannon Hiller, Chief Marketing Officer of CCCU. “This initiative is a small way for us to recognize their dedication while also uplifting local organizations that are making a meaningful difference.”
