On Saturday, Feb. 8, Green Our Planet completed the majority of the demolition for its future headquarters—a space designed to connect people with nature and each other. With groundbreaking set for this spring, the new headquarters will be a hub for the Las Vegas community to gather, learn and grow while allowing Green Our Planet to expand its impact nationwide.
The demolition brought in 50 volunteers including Green Our Planet Board Members and Los Vaqueros Las Vegas, along with members of Nellis Air Force Base. Green Our Planet Board Member, James Bristow, led the charge by directing volunteers to the assigned demolition stations. Green Our Planet’s CEO, Ciara Byrne, also joined the group to help in removing debris and drywall. After five dusty hours, the interior of the building was transformed.
“The dedication and hard work of our volunteers set the stage for everything this space will become,” said Ciara Byrne, CEO of Green Our Planet. “We’re so excited for Spring 2026, when we’ll open our new headquarters and welcome the community to learn and grow with us. It will be an awesome place where people of all ages can connect with nature, share ideas, and work toward a greener future.”
The construction of the Green Our Planet Headquarters is set to begin in early 2025. With a goal of showing people how connecting to nature can change lives, the headquarters will feature a hydroponics lab, teaching kitchen and community garden alongside an outdoor workshop area, film studio and classroom. It will serve as a place for community learning and support hands-on STEM education for schools nationwide.
