WHAT: Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS of Nevada), part of the nation’s leading evidence-based dropout prevention nonprofit network serving nearly 100,000 students across 117 schools statewide, will host its Charity Series of Poker Event: All In For Kids, a charity poker tournament benefiting students in high-poverty schools.
The event will feature a Turbo No Limit Hold’em tournament, dinner, open bar and opportunities to win more than $5,000 in cash and over $9,000 in prizes. In addition to tournament play, guests can win prizes throughout the evening, including awards for top finalists, mid-game chip leaders and other standout moments, as well as bid on exclusive items in a silent auction.
Proceeds from the evening will support CIS of Nevada’s mission to place full-time site coordinators in schools to help students overcome barriers to learning and stay on track to graduate.

CIS places full-time, professionally trained site coordinators in 117 Title I and high-needs schools across Nevada to support nearly 100,000 students in grades K-12 who face barriers to their success—increasing the likelihood that students will stay in school and graduate on time. The organization taps into a statewide network of more than 120 community nonprofits, partners, and agencies, bringing the community into the school to help students get whatever they need to overcome the barriers that prevent them from achieving academically. CIS’s long-term vision is for every child enrolled in a Title I or high-needs school to have access to a CIS site coordinator and to its evidence-based integrated student support model, also known as wraparound services.
