309860856_471114245055649_5750374381236446858_n-110190fdThis past Friday, non-profit, Project Marilyn, whose goal is to end period poverty, had a complementary yoga and movie “Go with the Flow” themed event at on the lawn at Downtown Summerlin.
Las Vegas’ favorite Yoga Instructor Amelia Bluff offered a relaxing yoga class where guests could flow through a fun gentle yoga flow and then end the night with friends watching the 1980’s cult classic Sixteen Candles. Corks and Crafts who generously donated a portion of snack boxes, wine and charcuterie purchases back to the charitable organization.

Tickets were complimentary with a suggested $10 donation to Project Marilyn, which sponsors a monthly period.   Additional supporters included: Downtown Summerlin, WestDeck for the movie truck, and Diamondback Land Surveying for sponsoring the $500 Amazon raffle prize.  Non-profit organization, The Cupcake Girls, also gave yoga mats to the first 30 guests who checked in.

The mission of Project Marilyn is to ensure everyone has a healthy and dignified period. PERIOD. Project Marilyn assembles period kits and distributes them to other nonprofits.
