Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (CASLV) is pleased to announce its CEO and executive director Ercan Aydogdu has successfully completed his doctorate program in education from the University of Nevada.
“I am elated to have earned this distinction, a direction I started on in 2019,” said Aydogdu. “Despite facing numerous challenges, including the pandemic and working on this program while having a full-time job, I was able to overcome them with the support of my wife and children.”
Aydogdu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Teaching and a master’s degree in educational administration. He has been serving as the executive director of CASLV since 2012, and during that time CASLV has expanded to seven campuses with over 5,500 students and earned 5 STAR recognitions and ranked as the best high school at U.S. News & World Report and most challenging school recognition at the Washington Post. The Charter School Association of Nevada recognized Aydogdu as the Administrator of the Year in Nevada in 2014. In 2023, Aydogdu was named Executive of the Year during the Vegas Chamber Business Awards.
Aydogdu is the president of the Charter Schools Association of Nevada Board of Directors, is the president of the Nevada Congressional Award Council Advisory Board member, and serving at Henderson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is a member of the Nevada Association of School Administrators. Aydogdu has three daughters, all graduated from CASLV and two of them also graduated from college.
