Dr. Ercan Aydogdu, executive director and CEO of Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (CASLV) has been recognized with the prestigious Community Achievement Award by the Asian American Group and Las Vegas Indian Chamber of Commerce. The award is given to professionals who demonstrate exceptional accomplishments, commitment to their industry, leadership skills, and significant contributions to the community. Dr. Aydogdu’s dedication to education and his outstanding leadership at CASLV made him a standout choice for this honor.
Dr. Aydogdu’s journey in education spans three decades, with a background rooted in mathematics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Teaching and a master’s degree in educational administration. Recently, Dr. Aydogdu further solidified his dedication to his field of work by earning a Doctorate in Education in Executive Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Throughout Dr. Aydogdu’s career, he has served in numerous roles, including mathematics teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Under his leadership, CASLV has expanded to seven campuses with a student body of over 5,500 across southern Nevada.
In addition to his role at CASLV, Dr. Aydogdu has been recognized for his contributions beyond the school’s walls. He is actively involved in several prominent boards, including serving as president of the Charter Schools Association of Nevada Board of Directors and vice chair of the Nevada Congressional Award Council Executive Board. He also serves on the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Board. His leadership in the community has not gone unnoticed, earning him numerous accolades, including, most recently, Executive of the Year at the 2023 Vegas Chamber Business Awards.
