Credit One Bank, a longstanding supporter of the Las Vegas community, reaffirmed its commitment to youth education and well-being with a donation to Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS) and the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY). During a four-week employee giving campaign, employees donated hundreds of classroom supplies, including more than 600 pencils, more than 600 boxes of crayons, nearly 300 notebooks and over 2,500 sheets of notebook paper, along with a monetary donation of $5,050 to support local students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.“At Credit One Bank, we’re committed to setting people up for what’s ahead, and for the students of Southern Nevada, that’s their journey back to school,” said Stephanie McHugh, Vice President of Organizational Development & Employee Engagement in the Human Recourses department at Credit One Bank. “Knowing roughly 25% of students go back to school without the supplies they need, we’re proud to support initiatives like ‘Fill the Bus’ for the 9th consecutive year, reinforcing our long-standing commitment to advancing education and investing in Southern Nevada students.”
In addition to Fill the Bus, Credit One Bank champions education through its One For The Community Scholarship program. This year, the Bank awarded $300,000 in scholarships to 30 Southern Nevada students through partnerships with the Public Education Foundation and Project 150, helping local students pursue their higher education and achieve their long-term goals.
For more than a decade, the Fill the Bus drive has provided essential supplies to students and families across the Clark County School District. As each school year begins, access to the right tools is vital for student success, and Communities In Schools of Nevada plays a key role in meeting those needs.
