Cure 4 The Kids Foundation Honors Nine Nevadans as Champions 4 Children, Families & Community Health
LAS VEGAS – March 26, 2026 – Cure 4 The Kids Foundation today honored nine elected officials and policy makers who have championed programs and legislation that improve the health of Nevada’s children and families and ensure access to healthcare.
Significantly, these honorees represent a bi-partisan group of lawmakers who have chosen to work across the aisle to address the healthcare needs of Nevada families.
The Champions 4 Children, Families & Community Health honorees were recognized by Annette Logan-Parker, Founder and Chief Innovation and Advocacy Officer of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, during a special event held at the clinic in partnership with the Vegas Chamber.
“With so many causes competing for attention and resources, we are grateful to our honorees for their steadfast support of healthcare policies that protect all Nevada families, including those affected by catastrophic conditions,” said Logan-Parker. “Nevada’s growing population and shortage of medical staff make workforce development a critical issue for our state. We applaud our honorees who are actively seeking solutions to expand medical capabilities in Nevada.”
Champions 4 Children, Families & Community Health Honorees:
Nevada State Senate
Senator Carrie Buck (R) – For her ongoing leadership on healthcare access and family-centered policies that impact children and families across Nevada.
Senator Fabian Doñate (D) – For being a trusted voice on public health issues, especially those related to health equity and care for vulnerable populations.
Senator Julie Pazina (D) – For being a tireless advocate for women, children and families in building a more responsive and equitable healthcare system.
Senator Rochelle Nguyen (D) – For her dedication to children battling cancer and their families, both through her legislative advocacy for pediatric healthcare policy and her nonprofit leadership as CEO of Candlelighters of Nevada, bringing a unique firsthand understanding of the needs of families navigating catastrophic illness.
Nevada State Assembly
Assemblymember Tracy Brown-May (R) – For her strong and consistent focus on vulnerable children and families.
Assemblymember Heidi Kasama (R) – For her advocacy of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation through her representation of the Foundation’s home district and her focus on economic development and workforce vitality.
Assemblymember Daniele Monroe-Moreno (D) – For her statewide leadership on health, budget and community priorities and support of statewide rare disease and pediatric healthcare policies.
State of Nevada
Vance Farrow – Senior Director, Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), for his long-standing support of C4K and leadership in connecting healthcare innovation with economic development and workforce growth.
Federal
Victoria Seaman (R) – Regional Director, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Region 8; former Las Vegas City Councilwoman, Ward 2 — For her continued commitment to Nevada families through her service at the local and federal levels, including her longstanding support of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and her current role overseeing federal health policy coordination for Nevada and the Western region.
