LAS VEGAS – February 24, 2026 – Today, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation (C4K) unveiled its newest themed patient exam room, transforming routine medical visits into an “Under the Sea” adventure for young cancer and rare disease patients.
The immersive “Under The Sea” design features deep blue walls adorned with an underwater scene that includes fish, sharks, coral plants, and a treasure chest. The calming illustration is also interactive. It allows young patients to search for 12 symbols hidden within the mural while they wait to be seen by medical staff.
Children undergoing treatment for cancer or rare diseases often visit the clinic multiple times per week for blood tests, follow-up exams, chemotherapy, and other treatment regimens. A themed exam room transforms routine medical visits into engaging experiences, offering patients a welcome distraction from the clinical setting and creating moments of discovery and wonder during their care.
The room was made possible by a generous donation from Health Plan of Nevada, a UnitedHealthcare company.

More than 9,000 patients are seen at C4K each year, the majority for treatment of childhood cancer. Since 2007, C4K has provided more than $2.4 million dollars in free medical care to those patients without insurance or who are unable to pay for treatment.
