Washoe County Teachers Honored for Dedication to Education
Reno, Nev. This is the first year De Castroverde is honoring Washoe County teachers after hosting the Teacher Appreciation Awards in Clark County since 2017.

The Teacher Appreciation Awards were established in order to highlight the crucial impact that teachers have on molding students’ minds and futures. Initiated by the De Castroverde Law Group, this program serves as a way to show appreciation for the dedicated efforts of educators in Washoe County, ensuring that their relentless dedication to their students and schools are properly recognized. This year’s awards garnered numerous nominations, underscoring the remarkable talent and unwavering dedication within the teaching community, making the selection process all the more significant.
This year’s winners plan to use their prize money for office supplies and general classroom betterment. Grand prize winner Aaron Grossman is using his prize funds for a classroom computer refresh, giving students access to a number of online district resources.
The recipients of the Teacher Appreciation Awards for the year 2023 in Washoe County embody the pinnacle of educational excellence. All three educators were noted in their nominations as cultivating high-achieving students, as well as ensuring the mental health and comfort of all students are prioritized throughout their education. The Grand Prize winner, Aaron Grossman, was specifically highlighted for creating a classroom website and YouTube channel, dedicated to providing a plethora of free materials to other teachers.
