LAS VEGAS – Desert Radiology, a premier diagnostic imaging practice that has served Southern Nevada for more than 50 years, announced the recent hire of Leah Fischer, MMS, PA-C as physician assistant.
Fischer obtained her Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University. She completed clinical rotations in various disciplines of medicine including Interventional Cardiology, Surgical Oncology, Pediatrics, General and Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine.
Fischer has experience assisting in complex interventional and cardiac procedures, including but not limited to port placements, AV fistula, cardiac catherization, peripheral angioplasty, carotid angiography and thoracentesis procedures.
Desert Radiology is Southern Nevada’s largest resource for diagnostic care with more than 80 experienced radiologists. The practice operates 11 outpatient imaging centers and works closely with 12 area hospitals to deliver leading-edge services that include diagnostic and interventional radiology.
