LAS VEGAS – Fremont Street Experience the five-block entertainment district located in historic downtown Las Vegas, has announced its lineup for the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) official kickoff party, Downtown Hoedown. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, the iconic destination will transform into a country music celebration under The Canopy™, featuring free performances from Midland, Corey Kent, Josh Ross, Mackenzie Carpenter and more.
Rising country star Corey Kent will kick off the evening on the Main Street Stage at 5:15 p.m. The Oklahoma native has quickly become a fan favorite with his powerhouse vocals and breakout hit “Wild as Her and “This Heart”, showcasing a rugged authenticity that connects with audiences across the country.
Josh Ross takes the 1st Street Stage at 6:45 p.m. The Nashville-based singer made waves with a series of independent releases before scoring his first No. 1 hit on US country radio with “Single Again” in 2025 after a 71-week climb, marking a milestone in his burgeoning career. The success of “Single Again” puts him in an elite category as the first male Canadian country artist in nearly 30 years to top the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
Ross is building upon this star power with his debut album, Later Tonight, a collection of 15 songs that show off the smooth singer’s range of emotions and songwriting prowess, working alongside industry giants such as Ashley Gorley and Ryan Hurd.
Mackenzie Carpenter will hit 3rd Street Stage at 8:15 p.m. The Georgia-born artist is making waves with her playful lyrics, relatable storytelling and undeniable stage presence, following the success of her self-titled debut EP.
GRAMMY-nominated trio Midland will close out the night on 3rd Street Stage at 9:30 p.m. Comprised of lead singer Mark Wystrach, bassist/vocalist Cameron Duddy and guitarist/vocalist Jess Carson, the Platinum-selling group has sought to reintroduce the Western plains, Laurel Canyon-cum-Bakersfield and Lone Star honky tonks to Country music since coming together at a friend’s wedding over common influences and the need for a return to this sort of post-Urban Cowboy Country. Since then, they’ve built a loyal following with hits including the 5X Platinum “Drinkin’ Problem” and the Platinum-certified single “Burn Out,” among others.
