The Emerald Island Casino in Downtown Henderson is proud to announce Kyle Brooks has been promoted to assistant general manager. Brooks joined the family business in 2021. He is the son of Tim Brooks who, along with his twin brother Mike, owns the casino and its sister property, the Rainbow Club Casino on Water Street.
Under this new role, Brooks’ responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, coordinating events, hiring employees, and assisting Tim Brooks and Director of Operations Courtney Garland as needed.
“Kyle is a natural with guests, continuing our mission of treating everyone who walks through the door as family,” said Tim Brooks, co-owner and general manager of Emerald Island Casino. “My brother and I always envisioned our family business being passed down to our children and seeing Kyle excel in his previous role and grow into the business showed me he was ready for the next step.”
Brooks previously served as player development manager and was responsible for signing up new members, ensuring player satisfaction, assisting with special events, guest retention, promotions, paying jackpots, marketing, and even helping in the casino restaurant, the Emerald Island Grille, when needed.
Prior to joining Emerald Island Casino, Brooks owned Horizon Pizzeria in Henderson for 4 years. He is a graduate of San Diego State University, with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing.
When he is not working, Brooks enjoys visiting local breweries, going to concerts, and attending sporting events, particularly those involving the San Diego Padres and San Diego State Aztecs.
