The Emerald Island Casino in Downtown Henderson is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month and are reminding everyone to join the party on Saturday, May 20.
Guests will be treated to complimentary slow smoked beef brisket BBQ sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, cake and Irish coffee. Players will also get a chance to win big cash prizes, including the Super Bonus Multiplier Wheel of Cash’s $1,100 jackpot, with drawings every 20 minutes from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will also be a limited-edition t-shirt giveaway, earning guests a chance to take home souvenir photos in their new swag. Emerald Island Casino is proud to partner with Tequila Dos Caras, and will offer tequila tastings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Emerald Island Casino, previously known as the Pot of Gold Casino, was bought by twin brothers Tim and Mike Brooks in 2001. The property was remodeled and rebranded in 2003 and is now considered a top choice for locals.
“I am excited to highlight this milestone anniversary by offering our guests, many of which are regulars, a day of fun, feasts and games.” “Over the past twenty years Emerald Island Casino has enhanced its services, remodeled, and weathered many storms such as the 2008 recession and the 2019 COVID-19 pandemic. Our ability to thrive as one of Downtown Henderson’s leading destinations for gaming is a true testament to the loyalty of our guests, many of whom have come to know our staff as extended family and friends. We look forward to continuing to serve our daily players and encourage new faces to visit and experience the unique charm that is Emerald Island Casino.”
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony kicking off the celebrations at 2:00 p.m. although festivities will unofficially begin at 12 noon, and the party is expected to continue into the night.
