RENO, Nev. – New for the 2023 event, The Patriot produced a lineup of roping events that added thousands of dollars to Reno Rodeo’s more than $700,000 overall payout and saw one of the richest team roping opens in history with the Bob Tallman Invitational. This week it was announced that Equine Network, LLC, a leading provider of best-in-class competitions, content, products and services to the equine community, acquired all of The Patriot Events.
“This raises Reno Rodeo to a completely new level when it comes to team roping events,” said George Combs, general manager of the Reno Rodeo. “We are excited to continue to work with Kevin and Andrea Hall at The Patriot and can’t wait for Reno to see everything that Equine Network brings to the table. Fans can expect the best team roping ever in Reno at the 2024 Reno Rodeo.”
In addition to the Bob Tallman Open, the lineup of majors at the Reno Rodeo include the #12.5, the #11.5, #10.5 and #9.5 and the All Girls Team Roping, Breakaway Roping.
Now with Equine Network’s acquisition, the events will be tied to the World Series, which means Reno will see an increase in the number and caliber of competitors.
“Being a Patriot series qualifier for the World Series really raises the bar,” said Combs. “It will bring a new level of excitement for the fans and more opportunities to the contestants.”
Tickets for the 2024 Reno Rodeo are set to go on sale November 13 in person and at RenoRodeo.com.
