Las Vegas, NV – Olive Crest is proud to announce a transformative $2.5 million gift from Erin J. Anderson and the A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation towards Olive Crest’s Vegas Cares About Kids Comprehensive Campaign, a $25 million initiative aimed at expanding services and facilities to end child abuse and neglect across Southern Nevada.
This extraordinary contribution serves as the campaign’s lead gift and will propel the first phase of the campaign, which includes the construction of the North Campus with a 10,000 square foot Children and Family Resource Center (CFRC) and 16 apartments for young adults aging out of foster care.
“Erin Anderson and the A. Gary Anderson Foundation have once again demonstrated what visionary philanthropy looks like,” said Jimmy Monaghan, Executive Director of Olive Crest in Nevada. “Their generous leadership not only sets the tone for the campaign but more importantly, sends a strong message to vulnerable families in our community: you are not alone.”
The Vegas Cares About Kids campaign will allow Olive Crest to double its service capacity in Nevada, reaching over 10,000 children and families annually. The initiative will also establish a $5 million endowment to ensure long-term sustainability for Olive Crest’s inclusive services, which are comprised of strengthening families, providing safe and loving homes, and equipping for life teens and young adults who have aged out of foster care.
“Our family believes deeply in the power of safe, loving homes and strong communities,” said Erin Anderson, CEO and President of the A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation. “This gift is an investment in children’s futures and in a stronger Southern Nevada.”
