LAS VEGAS – Pack up your appetite and head over to the Huntridge Shopping Center starting March 25 for Food Truck Fridays.
Starting that Friday and continuing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 1, 8 and 15, an eclectic collection of local food trucks will be setting up shop in the parking lot of the Huntridge Shopping Center at 1120 E. Charleston Boulevard, on the southwest corner of Charleston and Maryland Parkway.
The weekly food event is the brainchild of property owner Dapper Companies, headed by Las Vegas native and longtime local real estate broker and developer J Dapper.
“As we redevelop our properties in this historic part of Las Vegas, we want to do cool things like this to attract more people to the Huntridge area and to tap into First Friday and all the innovative things that are happening around us in Downtown Las Vegas,” Dapper said. “We hope people stop by for lunch on these Fridays and enjoy themselves.”
Food Truck Fridays are free and open to the public, though the food trucks will be charging their normal prices for food and beverages.
Food trucks are subject to change, but scheduled to include Blue Mahoe, Buldogis Unleashed, Dazzling Bistro, MTO Café, and Sauced. Dapper said he hopes to offer something to please every palate. For example, he said Blue Mahoe serves Jamaican and Caribbean food. Buldgois serves classic and Asian fusion hot dogs and fries. Dazzling Bistro serves unique comfort food, such as their Crab Meat Macaroni with four cheeses. MTO Café serves comfort food with fresh ingredients. Sauced serves unique street food.

Great news! Hoping there will be an accompanying plan for clean up each Friday. The center is looking better every week. J Dapper – you would be quite a trendsetter if you were able to find a way strongly encourage your store owners to not use plastic bags. I’d be first in line for a reusable Huntridge bag.
