
LAS VEGAS – Longtime local REALTOR® Forrest Barbee has been appointed by Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo to serve on the Nevada Real Estate Commission.
As a state real estate commissioner, Barbee will serve a three-year term on the board that regulates the real estate profession in Nevada. His term officially began March 1.
Barbee is the corporate broker of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Nevada Properties. He has earned numerous industry honors over the years, including being inducted into LVR’s Hall of Fame in 2019.
He becomes the third leader of Las Vegas REALTORS® (LVR) currently serving on the five-member state commission, joining former LVR Presidents David R. Tina and Donna Ruthe. Ruthe, who is currently serving as secretary on the commission, was appointed in 2023. Her term expires March 31, 2026. Tina was appointed in 2021, and his term ends Oct. 31, 2024.
