LAS VEGAS – The Richard Harris Law Firm proudly announced the winners of the fourteenth Spirit of Nevada Award Contest. This year’s competition focused on the theme, “Heart of the Golden West,” encouraging students to showcase Nevada’s uniqueness, beauty, and history. The award contest received 67 submissions spanning three categories, including writing, artwork, and video, from elementary, middle, and high school participants. Twelve total recipients were selected statewide.
Students from 22 schools across the State participated in this year’s Award Contest, including homeschooled participants. All 12 winning students were awarded $1,000 and an iPad, with their teachers receiving a $500 Amazon gift card.
“Year after year, Nevada’s youth impress me with their creativity, ingenuity, and passion for the State of Nevada,” said Richard Harris, Founder of the Richard Harris Law Firm. “‘Heart of the Golden West’ wasn’t just this year’s theme – it’s a spotlight on the history of our State. Each person who submitted an entry for this year’s award had a unique interpretation of the theme that truly encompassed all that Nevada is. Thank you to everyone who created a submission and a big congratulations to the winners.”
