Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Medicine will host the Rhythm of the Future Gala, to support physician scholarships on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa.This year’s Gala will feature honorary chairs Grammy Award–winning music icon Gloria Estefan; her husband, and musician and film producer Emilio Estefan, along with mistress of ceremonies; Soledad O’Brien, journalist and executive producer for the 2026 Oscar-nominated documentary short, “The Devil Is Busy.” Also participating is Bryan Lindsey, College of Medicine Campaign Chair.
“What began as a scholarship campaign has become an important investment rooted in generosity, vision, and shared responsibility,” said Lindsey. “Nevada’s healthcare workforce will be shaped by the choices we make now, and this scholarship initiative helps remove financial barriers so aspiring physicians are defined by their ability and commitment, not their circumstances.”
“Nevada has a 2,500-physician shortage, a canyon that leaves our neighbors without access to care,” said Dr. Pedro “Joe” Greer Jr., founding dean of Roseman’s College of Medicine. “Closing that canyon requires more than increasing numbers. It requires a new generation of doctors committed to equity, access, and system-wide change. That’s the mission at Roseman University.”
