Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s (Goodwill®) yearlong 50th anniversary celebration continues with a February fundraising campaign that will raise up to $10,000, and no less than $5,000, for Signs of HOPE, a 50-year Southern Nevada nonprofit that provides hope, help and healing to those affected by sexual violence and exploitation.
The in-store fundraising effort is part of the Goodwill Care-to-Care Nonprofit Fundraising Partnerships program, which invites Goodwill thrift store customers to contribute a dollar or more at checkout to support both Goodwill training scholarships and a monthly local nonprofit organization.
“Every day, Goodwill welcomes and supports underserved people who face substantial barriers to getting their lives on track,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada President and CEO Rick Neal. “Through our partnership with Signs of HOPE, our customers will help their neighbors receive essential support and services.”
“We are thankful to Goodwill for supporting Signs of HOPE,” said Kim Small, chief executive officer of Signs of HOPE. “Funds raised at Goodwill stores will help us ensure that victims of sexual assault and human trafficking have the support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.”
Signs of HOPE provides counseling to over 200 individuals each month. Goodwill thrift store customers can contribute to Goodwill and Signs of HOPE programs of service by donating a dollar or more during checkout.
