Grand Canyon Development Partners, a Southwest U.S.-based, full-service development and project management company, announced the appointment of Rodger Jones as assistant project manager. Jones brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position, having more than two decades of experience in construction oversight, cost modeling and facilities management. His focus has been on process improvement, logistics coordination and milestone-driven execution with a background spanning federal defense and civil infrastructure.
As an assistant project manager for Grand Canyon Development Partners, Jones specializes in aligning cost models with real-world logistics and project scopes, improving forecasting accuracy, and maintaining compliance with contract and regulatory standards.
Jones joins Grand Canyon Development Partners through the Department of Defense Skills Bridge program. This program allows service members to do industry training, apprenticeships, or internships in their last 180 days of service, easing their transition to civilian jobs.
“Whether managing subcontractors, developing GMP packages, or coordinating across stakeholder groups, Rodger maintains a clear focus on outcomes, safety, and on-time delivery,” said Grand Canyon Development Partners President and CEO Vincent Tatum. “His background in military construction management has sharpened his ability to deliver under pressure and drive measurable efficiency gains.”
Prior to joining Grand Canyon Development Partners, Jones served in multiple program and operations leadership roles with the U.S Air Force and U.S. Army. He has guided capital projects from concept through closeout, resolving longstanding technical challenges and driving utility savings, scheduling accuracy, and team accountability across project sites. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human resources Management and an MBA in project management.
