RENO, Nev. – Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) will host Street Heat, a four-day classic car and concert festival Wednesday, Aug. 5 through Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026. Scheduled during a week when classic car fans already plan trips to Reno, the event offers an additional on-property option with classic car exhibitions, free nightly outdoor concerts, a vendor marketplace, food and beverage experiences and special hotel offers.
“Street Heat is designed around what our guests have asked for — a classic car experience paired with great entertainment and an easy, all-in-one resort weekend,” said Christopher Abraham, chief marketing officer at GSR. “Whether visitors are spending the weekend at GSR or exploring multiple events across Reno, we’re proud to offer an experience that’s welcoming, well-produced and built for car fans of all ages.”
Inspired by previous classic car events held at GSR, Street Heat will feature a multi-format car show showcasing vintage automobiles from the 1950s through the 1980s. Highlights include classic car registration and exhibitions, a cruise-style parade, awards presentations and GSR’s signature Cherry Show & Shine, allowing enthusiasts and spectators alike to admire beautifully restored vehicles throughout the resort. Details on vehicle registration and participation can be found at StreetHeatReno.com.
In addition to the automotive experiences, guests can enjoy free nightly outdoor concerts featuring classic rock and R&B acts, creating a lively soundtrack for summer evenings. Concert acts will be announced at a later date. The event will also include an automotive-themed vendor marketplace, along with a variety of food and beverage vendors across the property.
As part of the celebration, GSR will offer special hotel rates and packages for guests attending Street Heat.
Street Heat is produced by Grand Sierra Resort as part of the resort’s long-running tradition of hosting classic car experiences on-property. For more information, event schedules and hotel offers, visit grandsierraresort.com or StreetHeatReno.com.
