The billboards sponsored by HLG announce ” Chabad Southwest Las Vegas Wishes you a Shana tova-Happy and Healthy Sweet New Year”.
The catch-all Jewish new year greeting for the entire season is “Shana tova” which means Good Year.
Shana tova celebrates the beginning of the High Holy Days, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance leading to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It also marks the beginning of a new year on the Jewish calendar.
