Helix Electric, an award-winning electrical contractor that specializes in design-build and highly complex electrical projects, joined forces with Northern Nevada HOPES, Karma Box, the Reno Brewery District, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department, and 4th Street Brewery & Coffee Bar to bring warmth and joy to Reno’s unsheltered population.
On November 27, the “Helix Helping Hands – Sweets & Treats” event transformed the 4th Street Brewery & Coffee Bar into a welcoming space for the community to enjoy holiday treats, collect essential winter supplies, and access valuable resources. The event provided attendees from the Cares Campus and Reno’s unsheltered community with coffee, pie, music, and a variety of winter necessities, such as gloves, socks, and handwarmers. Resource tables staffed by partner organizations ensured guests felt supported and informed about local programs. The collaboration was a testament to the power of community partnerships, with each organization playing a pivotal role in delivering hope during the holiday season.
